Having been playing around with Windows 7 for over the past three days, I am impressed by what I see. It's a step in the right direction for Microsoft.
I've not had the luxury of experiencing the 'Black Screen of Death' (yet) and I have found the experience quite easy to adapt to. The boot up process has been quite speedy. I am using Windows 7 on my Mid 2009 Macbook Pro and using VMWare Fusion 3 to run Windows.
The UI looks very similar to Vista, I think most of the work has just been tweaks to Vista and a few enhancements here and there i.e. dock
All in all, would HIGHLY recommend it to XP users.
